Octavius Core Station - In response to repeated questions from reporters, Dr. Calatorius elaborated on his earlier announcement about the crash of the CLAWS array and the mysterious deep-space carier wave that appeared to deliver a quantum virus, saying "the CLAWS array is an early warning system...but it also served other more minor, space science functions to include the study of the nature of our space since the Great Collapse. These functions were used by the various science academies. I have been informed that recently there were several odd readings that were picked up by the array."
"Since the Great Collapse there has been a background radiation, a footprint as it were, of what occurred in that catastrophic epoch. The levels of that radiation have remained consistent since we began study of it. Recently that radiation has begun to increase, even if ever so slightly. We do not know what this means, but the introduction of the quantum virus into the array seems to almost coincide with this increase in radiation."
Dr. Calatoris call for the immediate formation of a joint task force involving TRI and all factions, to investigate the virus and the carrier wave, and to try to find a way to bring CLAWS back online as quickly as possible.
Calatorius also called on all pilots to contribute to the cause: "I ask that all pilots share any and all data they feel may be relevant to this phenomenon, be it conflux related or otherwise."
