TRINN Central Desk - Today, at 0400 local time, the Presidential Palace in Rongen on Hypsos was destroyed in a series of three massive explosions. The status and whereabouts of President Kelvin Rauder is not known.
Witnesses reported seeing a massive plasma-like fireball rising above the ruins of the Palace complex which quickly dissipated following the largest of the three blasts.
Hyperial government spokesmen could not be reached for comment due to the chaos at the scene.
TRINN will report further details as they become available.

Solrain Core (TRI-FP) - Sources within the STCC and the Octavian Ministry of War have confirmed reception of a new communique from Amananth, presumably by the governments of all three factions. "Amananth's statement was much more somber than usual," described Dr Calatorius, "I refuse to quote it directly here, but I implore my counterparts in Solrain and Quantar to recall my prior offer of a council. We must collaborate to address the Conflux threat."
A source close to the STCC, who refused to be named, hinted that the recent show of force in Hyperial space by the Conflux, with a series of gate infestations and a severe and long-lasting particle storm, may represent the shape of things to come. Octavius Core Station - Over the past weekend, TRI released news that the CLAWS array had gone down. Conflux Studies expert, Dr. Calatorius commented: "Based upon my preliminary analysis, it would seem the system has been taken offline by a quantum computer virus that has not only brought down the array, but also locked the system down."
"We are investigating where the virus may have originated -- we detected a carrier wave remnant coming from deep space. What is odd about this carrier wave is that it appears to not originate from any of our known sectors, nor does it originate from conflux space, which is most disconcerting.

Octavius Core Station - After a little more than a week, the Octavian-sponsored mission to increase the production output of its factory in Great Pillars Station was completed shortly before 5am Ekoos Time on 109.9.14. The final delivery was fittingly made by pilot InterOrka of the squad STMG, since it was InterOrka who coordinated much of the effort.
Ironically, the initial call for the mission came from a Quantar pilot, Bayonette, the founder of the mutifactional TRI Privateers organization. Outpost (TRI-FP) - Dr Calatorius, head of the Conflux studies group at the Octavian Ministry of War, has released a prediction what he calls an imminent major attack against factional assets.
"Over the last few days, we have seen a significant increase in small scale attacks by sentient Conflux," stated Calatorius. "While details of these attacks are sketchy, due to lack of pilot reports, there has been no direct attacks on our infrastructure. In addition, these attacks have been led by light, fast units, indicating a high probability that we are being probed. We believe that these attacks are testing our defenses and reaction time.
